The effects of play based self control training group program on the internet addiction levels and self control ability of middle school students

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to enhance the self control ability and to decrease the levels of internet addiction levels of middle school students who were absorbed in internet excessively through play based self control training group program. Subjects were 8 male middle school students and they were randomly divided into two groups. 10 sessions of play based self control training group program was proceeded in target group and short discussion and free program was proceeded in compare group for the same time length. As a result, the score levels of self reported internet addiction scale and the time spending in the internet were decreased significantly and the level of self reported self control ability and observed self control behaviors of students in sessions were enhanced significantly in target group.
